What is an ISP proxy?
An ISP proxy is a proxy with a fixed IP address that is registered to an internet service provider but hosted on a server in a data centre. It is assigned to you for the whole billing month and keeps the same address for as long as you renew.
Because the address belongs to an internet provider's network, websites classify it as a normal consumer connection rather than a hosting address. Because it runs on a server, it is fast and does not go offline the way a home device can.
Some providers sell this product under the name "static residential proxy". On this site, static residential means a real home IP that you hold for one session, and ISP proxy means one IP for the month.
ISP proxy or static residential proxy?
| ISP proxy | Static residential proxy | |
|---|---|---|
| Same IP for | The whole month, renewable | One session, up to about 90 minutes at most providers |
| Where the IP is | A server, registered to an internet provider | A real home connection |
| Who else uses it | Only you, on a dedicated plan | Shared pool |
| Speed | Fast and steady | Depends on the home connection |
| Locations | Selected countries | Almost every country |
| You pay | Per IP, per month | Per GB of data |
Pick an ISP proxy when you return to the same account day after day. Pick a static residential proxy when you need a real home IP for one task and a session of up to about 90 minutes is enough.
What you get
- One address, every day. Accounts always see you arriving from the same place.
- Speed. Server hardware and a wired connection.
- A predictable bill. A fixed price per IP, often with plenty of data included.
- Privacy. On a dedicated plan, nobody else uses your IP.
What to keep in mind
- Fewer locations. ISP addresses are available in a limited set of countries.
- A small number of IPs. Sending a very high number of requests through a few fixed addresses gets them rate-limited. For that, use rotating residential proxies.
- History carries over. If an IP arrives with a poor reputation, ask the provider to replace it.
How pricing works
ISP proxies are sold per IP address per month. The price depends on whether the IP is dedicated or shared, which country it is in, how many you buy and which provider you choose. Buying more IPs or committing for longer lowers the price per IP. Current plans are listed on each provider's site.

Frequently asked questions
How long do I keep the same IP with an ISP proxy?
For the whole billing month, and for as long as you keep renewing the plan. Most providers keep the same address assigned to you across renewals unless you ask for a replacement.
Is an ISP proxy a residential proxy?
The IP is registered to an internet service provider, so websites classify it as a consumer connection. It is hosted on a server, though, not on a household device, which is what makes it fast and always online.
How many ISP proxies do I need?
For account management the usual practice is one dedicated IP per account, in the country the account is registered in.
Should I buy a dedicated or a shared ISP proxy?
Choose dedicated for accounts and anything where reputation matters, because nobody else can affect the address. Shared IPs cost less and are fine for light use and testing.
